GOOSSEN TUTOR INKS HEAVYWEIGHT PROSPECT TEKE ORUH TO PROMOTIONAL CONTRACT

NIGERIAN HEAVYWEIGHT SENSATION ADDED TO MARCH 3, EVENT

Los Angeles, February 7, 2006 – While James “Lights Out” Toney represents the “present” elite world heavyweight championship fighters in the Goossen Tutor boxing stable, promoter Dan Goossen announced that he has added a man who could well represent the “future” of the sport's most glamorous division.

Negotiations between Oruh's manager, Kevin Barry and Goossen Tutor Promotions , were completed earlier this week. Oruh's first outing as a member of the Goossen Tutor Promotions family will take place on the fight card at Pechanga Resort & Casino on Friday, March 3, 2006.

"We are excited about signing with Goossen Tutor,” Barry proclaimed. “Dan Goossen is an excellent promoter who has a great track record of getting his fighters the opportunity. It is comforting to know that your promotional team is going to work for you every bit as hard as you do.”

One of 16 children, the 27-year old Oruh, who was born and educated in Port Harcourt, Nigeria and currently resides in Las Vegas, is 9-0-1 with 5 knockouts since turning professional in 2001. In his most recent bout last December, which was promoted by Goossen Tutor, Oruh stopped Douglas Robertson in the second round.

Having started boxing at age 16, his outstanding amateur career record was 50-5 (35 KOs ), and he was the 1999 Nigerian heavyweight champion. Oruh was an alternate on the 2000 Nigerian Olympic team in Sydney , Australia , where he served as sparring partner for his close friend and highly regarded pro prospect Samuel Peter. Oruh also has trained with the likes of former world heavyweight champions Lennox Lewis , Mike Tyson, Vladimir Klitschko and current champion Lamon Brewster .

In addition to Toney, who is slated to challenge WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman on March 18 for the WBC heavyweight world title, Oruh joins the Goossen Tutor team of heavyweight prospects which includes undefeated boxers Travis Walker and Chris Arreola , as well as the highly regarded Dominic Guinn, Tony Thompson, and Cedric Boswell .

“Heavyweights make the boxing world turn. There is no greater sight than seeing two big men in the center of the ring banging away. We believe Teke has the genuine potential to reach the top of the heavyweight division,” stated Dan Goossen.
